“We awoke this morning with the sky dark from the smoke of the huge fires all over the range of the northeastern mountains of Athens! We cannot see the sky above our apartment building. This photo was taken from our bedroom balcony window.
The infamous Marathona and other nearby towns are already fighting for their lives. There has been severe wind for the last three to four days, and there is a danger the flames will come our direction. Only one helicopter has been seen and reported by the local news for the past two hours. That tells you the readiness.
We’re already packed & ready. Please pray with us for the safety of many. We were planning a few days vacation; but now may have no choice.
