Relief for refugees
In the past year, many refugees of a Middle Eastern country have sought shelter with local families in the poorest area of a neighboring country. During this time BGR partners have provided food and personal hygiene kits, blankets, winter clothes and shoes to more than 2,000 families. Many people have understood God's love as a result and are living the kind of lives he created them to enjoy. Now violence in the home country is escalating, and hundreds more refugees are crossing the border, increasing the population of refugees in the area to nearly 9,000. Partners will undertake a second series of distributions to 350 new families, as well as some of the families that have already received help. Pray that there will be true peace in the country of conflict and that leadership will govern justly. Ask God to comfort those in need of shelter. Pray they will see His love and compassion for them.
