Those living with HIV/AIDS deal with humiliation, secrecy, isolation and death on a daily basis. One who works among these hurting people in South Africa said that poverty is their friend and death is their neighbor. What sad words! 42 million people are currently infected with HIV; another 14,000 people become infected every day. That is reason enough to pray.
